Web Development/Design Experience
Having worked in 3 digital agencies since the start of my career in web development (Vizibility, Precedent, and most recently mtc media), I have a pretty good grounding in the web. You can log in to LinkedIn to view my personal references and employment history.
I worked in the Edinburgh branch of Precedent – a Top 20 UK digital agency – for nearly 3 years after finishing my MSc. During my time there I collaborated with the teams all over the world and contributed front end development work, MODx, and Drupal development to a number of high profile sites/clients. At mtc, I contributed HTML/CSS/jQuery/CMS work on a variety of websites for restaurants, hotels, e-commerce sites, oil companies, and charities using a mixture of mainly WordPress and the company’s own proprietary CMS/e-commerce system.
As a freelancer I have worked with the following clients –
Mr Drew Photography
(Shopify theme modification – not live yet)
I currently work at the University of St Andrews creating websites, maintaining web content, assist in purchasing equipment, and providing AV and IT support for both PC and Apple systems.
I’ve worked closely with Mr Drew Photography on weddings and events including charity nights and skiing competitions. I’ve also assisted Alan S. Morrison with the Perth City Council Christmas lights event coverage in 2013 and 2014. Select examples of my work can be seen on my Flickr page.
